Stening Simpson Group of Companies was established in 1979 by the two founding directors, Peter Stening and Elaine Simpson. The group are Registered Insurance Brokers and are honoured to have been awarded the National Association’s Prestigious Excellence Award. The Group are Associate Members of the Australian Surety Association of which Members comprise a range of participants in the Surety industry including Underwriters, Agents, Legal Firms and Brokers.
Stening Simpson have established a committed team of specialists who enjoy a challenge and delivering the results for the benefit of all concerned. The majority of our work comes as recommended business from entities who recognise our expertise in providing specialist tools, skills and advice. The Group has high ethical and professional standards and is committed to providing solutions that are in the best interest of our clients. The Group have been responsible for the placement of major risks both in Australia and overseas and are trusted by blue chip clients to partner with them to advise and implement pragmatic solutions for complex business issues.
Our range of clients varies greatly covering private and public sectors, international corporations together with financial institutions.
The Group structures composite risk arrangements, using the commercial market with export credit agencies and multilaterals. Assignments include advising on risk management programmes for multinational corporations, reviewing major international projects and advising on the affect risks could have on a project’s viability.
Stening Simpson’s commitment is to market risk programmes aggressively and to obtain the most competitive terms available whilst at the same time ensuring we do not compromise the level of cover or the calibre of carriers recommended. Only “A” rated global carriers are invited to participate on placements and a member of the allocated executive team personally presents all presentations to the syndication of carriers.
Stening Simpson staff are frequent speakers at international conferences and contributors of articles and comments.
We have managed to keep the size and cost structure to a minimum which further enhances our competitive edge over the larger firms which lack the flexibility and mobility of our group in responding to the needs of clients. Journey to Excellence
Stening Simpson’s remarkable journey began in 1979 on strict principles of practice with the management of both Retail and Corporate Insurance Programmes.
In the years that followed, testament of the continued growth of Stening Simpson is the diversity of the Group into a global Specialised Risk Broking House. The Group are now dedicated Specialised Risk Brokers and proudly one of the largest managers of Specialised Risk programmes in Australasia.
Throughout Stening Simpson’s history, excellence has remained at the core of our culture and intrinsic to all our projects. This ongoing passion has received widespread industry recognition.
In 1984 Stening Simpson were awarded the National Association’s Prestigious Excellence Award.
