Shortly before 1700 local time (2200 UTC) on 1 June 2022, an assailant armed with a rifle and a handgun opened fire inside a medical facility building in Tulsa, Oklahoma, killing four people and wounding almost 10 more. Police officers responded within minutes and made contact with the shooter, who was on the second floor of the Natalie Building at Saint Francis Hospital. A local police official stated that the gunman died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
