On 12 June 2024, Houthi militants struck the Liberian-flagged and Greek-owned bulk carrier Tutor with an unmanned sea drone and projectiles in the Red Sea. The sea drone struck the vessel’s engine room and subsequently the ship took on water. Shortly after the sea drone attack, the ship was struck with an aerial projectile, causing further damage and placing the vessel at risk of sinking. No injuries were reported; however, the damage resulted in the vessel no longer being under crew control.
