On 21 May 2024, the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince issued a Security Alert, which reads in part as follows: “The U.S. State Department’s Travel Advisory for Haiti is currently at Level 4: Do Not Travel. Toussaint-Louverture airport in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, has resumed operations, but the number of flights remains limited and subject to decisions made by commercial carriers. Be aware that changes at the airport may still occur as not all air carriers have resumed flights to the airport. Travelers should confirm airline status and availability of flights through each air carrier’s official website or customer service agents.”
