At approximately 0115 local time (0615 UTC) on 17 October 2021, a shooting occurred at Grambling State University, located approximately 60 mi (95 km) east of Shreveport, Louisiana. At least one person was killed, and seven others were injured. In response, university officials imposed a nightly campus curfew from 2130 to 0600 local time (0230-1100 UTC) until further notice. There were no reports of arrests. Authorities have opened an investigation into the shooting.
