On 5 June 2024, police officers in the capital Buenos Aires deployed tear gas to disperse hundreds of protesters who had erected a roadblock outside the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) headquarters building, located in the city’s Villa Pueyrredón neighborhood. The protesters threw burned tires and debris on the roadways, halting vehicular traffic in the area. Several protesters reportedly suffered minor injuries during subsequent clashes with police officers. The gathering was organized to denounce the government-imposed dismissal of INTI employees.
