An explosive device detonated and caused a passenger train to derail in the Peshi area of Bolan district in western Baluchistan province. Eight cars derailed from the train tracks, including the locomotive. At least 15 passengers were reported injured, and the number of causalities is likely to rise as rescue teams have experienced difficulties accessing the site of the derailment due to the region’s mountainous terrain. The Baluchistan Liberation Army separatist group claimed responsibility for the bombing.
