On 10 March 2022, Pakistani military authorities stated that a high-speed missile which originated in the northern Indian city of Sirsa, Haryana, landed near the eastern Pakistani city of Mian Channu — located approximately 225 km (140 mi) southwest of Lahore. There were no reports of damage or injuries. According to Pakistani military officials, the missile entered Pakistani territory at approximately 1845 local time (1345 UTC) on 9 March while cruising at an altitude of 12,192 m (40,000 ft). The Indian government maintains that the missile was accidently fired due to a technical malfunction.
