On the morning of 4 April 2024, the militant group Jaish al-Adl carried out simultaneous armed attacks in the southeastern Sistan and Baluchistan province. Gunmen attacked Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) bases in the towns of Rask and Sarbaz, and a Border Guard facility in Chahbahar city. In addition to the assaults, the militants set up ambushes along nearby roads to impede security personnel from pursuing them. At least 11 security personnel and 18 assailants were killed, and an undetermined number of people suffered injuries in the attacks.
