Suspected Islamic militants carried out several attacks within the town of Sévaré in the Mopti region. The militants detonated at least three explosives-laden vehicles near a military base housing members of the Russian Wagner paramilitary group located close to the Mopti airport (GAMB/MZI). Malian troops supported by United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) personnel repelled the militants shortly after the initiation of their assault. At least 10 civilians were killed in the attacks, while 60 others were injured. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
