On the evening of 25 March 2024, armed insurgents attempted to enter the Pakistan Naval Station Siddiqui in the city of Turbat, located in the southwestern province of Baluchistan. Heavy gunfire and explosions were reported in the area as the assailants attempted to enter the naval station. Soldiers repelled the attack and killed all four gunmen. At least one Pakistani soldier was also killed in the gunbattle. The outlawed separatist group Baluchistan Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade claimed responsibility for the attack. The group had recently attempted a major assault on the Gwadar Port Authority complex in Baluchistan.
